THE WAR OF 1812

The Selkirk History Faire is a unique re-enactment that celebrates the arrival in 1804 of a handful of Scottish families that would settle along the banks of the Snye River near modern day Wallaceburg.
This year, our  Faire will depicts life at the Baldoon Settlement during the WAR OF 1812
You will see and experience the following:
  • Voyager canoe and longboat activity
  • Campfire cooking
  • Highland dancing
  • Pioneer crafts
  • Blacksmithing
  • Traditional Scottish and Native displays
  • Storytelling
  • Baldoon Witch Story 
  • Musical perfomances by Ceol Cara

         Lawn chairs are not permitted inside the encampment
